Link symbols and their corresponding footprints

I imported the symbol and footprint libraries in a new Kicad project and placed in the scheme one of the operational amplifiers provided by the symbol library.

Kicad does not recognize the footprint field, like "Housings_SOIC:SOIC-8_3.9x4.9mm_Pitch1.27mm", comes with the symbol.

Shouldn't we modify Phelma-Amp.lib to associate the symbols with the corresponding footprints names coming from the .pretty folders? Like "LIB_BE_PHELMA_CMS:SOIC-8_3.9x4.9mm_P1.27mm".
